Andrew P. Ciganek, Suprasith Jarupathirun
Web 2.0 technologies, such as blogs, social networking sites, wikis, and Web services, are
increasingly being used to facilitate information sharing amongst supply chain partners, from
obtaining richer customer information to linking disparate business partners’ information systems.
There are unique cultural challenges for organizations in Thailand, however, that may prevent the full
utilization of these technologies for supply chain management purposes and thus impact their overall
competitiveness in the global marketplace. This research will discuss these challenges and propose
various ways that Thai organizations can reap the benefits that Web 2.0 technologies offer.
